Hick Bros hit 100 tonnes redirected on Mutu

Hick Bros Civil has become the first company on Mutu to reach 100 tonnes of construction material diversion back into other projects across their business using the Mutu resource sharing platform. Hick Bros were the first to receive the prestigious Mutu 100 Tonne Trophy (as seen in the above image).
Mutu CEO Ben Redwood was thrilled to see the partnership with Hick Bros reach this milestone “As one of the first companies to adopt Mutu’s Inventory management platform it is fantastic that we can pause and recognise Hick Bros for being the first company to reach this impressive number. Using Mutu, Hick Bros have achieved some incredible results across their projects including:
- saving $139,000 in material costs by reusing surplus items that were available across the business and avoiding $36,000 in disposal costs by not sending those items to the landfill
- repurposing more than 120 tonnes of surplus materials through construction material diversion back into projects, and as a result redirected 16.7 tonnes CO2-e from landfill
